Compassion & Empowerment
I am a warm, compassionate therapist who practices several healing modalities. My goal is for you to reconnect with your power, and together, we can explore what matters most to you and how to manifest the life you always dreamed of having. Nothing is out of reach.
Two of the most common behavioral ailments are depression and anxiety. Symptoms of depression include a sense of doom, loneliness, or hopelessness that persists throughout most days. Anxiety symptoms include the inability to focus, sleep, or accomplish daily activities because of thoughts and fears. Both depression and anxiety often are the result of some unresolved trauma. Having an empathetic therapist helps alleviate symptoms of both depression and anxiety.
In addition to being a psychologist, I have been a portrait photographer for over 30 years. This experience led me to research the social factors influencing body image and identity development. As a result of this research, I discovered that the most predictable symptom of having an eating disorder is having a negative body image.
I have developed a therapy I term the Photo Identity Process (PIP), which combines the healing benefits of using self-portraits to access and alter our unconscious negative self-stories. My mission is to close the gap between what we want to see and what we do see, re-building the relationship between self and self-image. Reconstruct the internally adopted stories about yourself by changing your perspective to be more holistic and healthy.
No matter what you're seeking help to resolve, I am committed to finding solutions with those who come to me for help. My compassionate and insightful feedback helps my clients identify the next steps so they can be on their way to a more healthy outlook on life.
