Identity: the personality and qualities that makes a person different from others Body Image: an individual's thoughts and perceptions about their body appearance

Welcome!

"I am a warm, compassionate therapist who practices therapy with a "power with" rather than a "power over" approach. I feel it is important that your voice (both inner and outer) be heard and honored, and that you remain an active agent in your therapeutic mission. Together we can explore what matters most to you and how to manifest the life you always dreamed of having. Nothing is out of reach."

About Body Image
Depression and Anxiety
Two of the most common behavioral ailments are depression and anxiety. Given the political, environmental, and health issues facing the world today, it is no wonder that depression and anxiety are on the rise. Do you oftentimes feel overwhelmed or helpless in your life? Symptoms of depression include a sense of doom, loneliness, or hopelessness that persist throughout the day. Symptoms of anxiety include an inability to focus, sleep, or accomplish daily activities because of obsessive thoughts and fears. Having an empathic therapist is helpful in alleviating depression and anxiety.
Self-Identity
Do you feel out of place, or uncertain about who you are? Does this uncertainty interfere with making life choices? Our identity is a complex interaction between society and the individual. One of the biggest reasons people suffer from depression, anxiety, and a multitude of other psychological ailments is due to negative beliefs and stories about ourself. These negative stories do not serve us, yet we are accustomed to playing certain characters in our stories and continue playing them. I can help you revise these stories so they become self enriching.

For those of you who are introverted and artistic

The current reliance On Verbal Therapies Alone Are Ineffective In Tapping Into The Non-Conscious Parts Of Ourselves, and Clients Who Are Visual Learners Tend To Be Limited When It Comes To Verbal Communication. This Is Why I Incorporate Visual Material In My Therapy Sessions: Only Part Of Our Memories can be Translated Into the Words we use to Tell Our Stories.

So how do you want to "see" yourself?
